Cairo ICT 2011 Press ConferenceIn a gathering of the biggest ICT leaders, experts, and players in Egypt, Cairo ICT 2011 held its press conference on May 15th in which they reiterated the importance of holding the 15th round of Cairo ICT expo and forum from 25-28 May 2011 at the Cairo International Conference Center. 
All participants of the press conference agreed on the importance of coming together as a sector under the umbrella of Cairo ICT at this crucial and critical time in Egypt. They affirmed that Cairo ICT as the biggest exhibition and forum in
Egypt and Africa represents a golden opportunity for them to collaborate in order to face the challenges ahead
In this context, Ossama Kamal, Managing Director of Tradefairs International, the organizer of Cairo ICT said, “The Forum’s agenda underwent several changes after the events of January 25th so that it can suit more what is taking place in Egypt. Security and transparency represent the main axes on which discussions and sessions will revolve around.”
Kamal reiterated that Cairo ICT will enjoy firm security measures to ensure the safety of exhibitors and visitors, pointing out that governmental presence will not be less than previous years, and that France is the guest of honor of this year’s Cairo ICT with the participation of French companies seeking cooperation or partnership opportunities  with their Egyptian and Arab counterparts.
He stated that the total area this year is 22 square meters, mentioning that the recent events led to the fall back of some companies while others were eager to join the exhibition such as IBM. He added that the targeted growth rate for this year was 26% but the recent events prevented this from happening.
Participating in the panel of speakers were Eng. Mohamed Abdel Rehim of Telecom Egypt, Eng. Yasser El Kadi of ITIDA, Eng. Amr Talaat of IBM Egypt, Mr. Olaf Krahmer of Cisco Egypt, Dr. Abdel Rahman El Sawy of SEE, Mr. Nour El Din Zaki of Intel, and Mr. Youssef Shokry of ON TV.
